My latest story

http://www.ilovekolkata.in/index.php/My-City/Soccer-Stars-from-Kolkata.html

I would've preferred a lot more editing, but what the hell, it's up finally.

good write up!!
football, unfortunately has always received a step motherly treatment from the authorities. having seen quite a few grounds in kolkata, i do say that the CCFC grounds are by far more conducive for a good game. and more than that football loses many of its players to other sports. having haunted the game personally as a youngster before moving on to other sports, and having seen other such transitions, i assure you... its nothing but the lack of proper facilities that is forcing ppl away.
football needs funds as much as cricket gets, to maintain the grounds, for the nurturing of the players..
sadly, its a utopian dream!!!
